<h4>The Desolation of Mordor is a DLC story expansion for Middle-earth: Shadow of War.</h4> Creating the map for The Desolation of Mordor was an incredibly challenging yet rewarding experience. As the person responsible for this task, I had to consider a variety of factors that would impact the players' experience. The size and number of outposts, as well as the distance between them, play a critical role in the game's design. Each outpost can be designed to include a variety of features that enhance the gameplay and provide a unique experience for players. <ul> <li>An oasis can provide a sense of relief in the middle of a harsh desert environment. </li> <li>Ancient temples can offer unique challenges.</li> <li>Ruins can hold secrets and mysteries waiting to be uncovered. </li> <li>Plateaus can provide a strategic location to survey the surrounding environment.</li> <li>Gorges can offer cover from enemies.</li> <li>Narrow passages can force players into a bottleneck.</li> <li>The Dead Sea can be a hazardous area to navigate.</li> </ul> As a lead world designer, my primary responsibility was to create a captivating and immersive world for players. In order to achieve this, I approached the design of the game map with great thoughtfulness, taking into consideration a range of features that could enhance the overall player experience. I made sure that the world was diverse, exciting, and offered an experience that was truly unique.

In addition to designing the map, I partnered with other designers charged with the strategic placement of missions, quests, and ambient life throughout the game. This required careful consideration and planning to provide players with a sense of progression and continuity throughout the game. Each mission was designed to be different from the last, with its own unique gameplay mechanics and challenges that would keep players engaged and motivated to continue playing.

The Desolation of Mordor

As the person in charge of creating the MinasIthil level from scratch, I faced challenges that required creativity and technical expertise. I had to carefully consider the limitations imposed by the Art and Design movements while designing the layout and structures. Collaborating with other designers and artists was crucial to crafting a world that captivates players and leaves a lasting impression.

Minasithil is an architectural masterpiece, boasting ten reusable stunning buildings, a colosseum, and the tower moon. The design process for this grand structure was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the focus was on creating buildings that would align with the architectural style of the era while also providing a variety of footprints, silhouettes, and reusability. In the second phase, the buildings underwent a destruction pass to ensure they aligned with the narrative, felt natural, and provided excellent player movement.

Shadow of War (Minasithil)

I was the lead world designer for the Nurnen map redesign. Collaborating with artists and designers to ensure the world's design is exceptional, providing players with an immersive gameplay experience they will never forget. The newly designed world is a testament to my confidence and ability to deliver an engaging and immersive environment, inspiring players to explore every inch of it. From the various encounters to the ambient life, every aspect of the world was carefully crafted to leave a lasting impression on the players.

I reviewed the movement mechanics in the Nurnen map redesign to ensure they were smooth and intuitive. Nurnen is a region south of Mordor that abounds in wildlife and forests. The Spirit of Carnan also dwells in the dense forests of Nurnen. Designing movement mechanics in a natural environment was daunting and complex, but I refined the movement mechanics to a level that exceeded even my expectations through rigorous testing and iteration. Seeing players effortlessly navigate the game world, fully immersed in the experience, was incredibly rewarding.

Shadow of War (Nurnen)

I redesigned and improved an existing Gorgoroth map. Gorgoroth is a vast, desolate wasteland located in Mordor, southeast of Isenmouthe and Udûn. The region is covered in volcanic ash from Mount Doom, with tortured lava, and hardened into crested peaks and unnatural eddies.

I paid special attention to the hazards and rough terrain of the world of Gorgoroth, and this provided me with ample opportunities to create unique player experiences and mechanisms that are both challenging and rewarding. Our goal was to provide players with a world that is not only immersive but also captivating.

Shadow of War (Gorgoroth)

<h4>Infamous: First Light is a stand-alone expansion of Infamous: Second Son.</h4> I had the opportunity to work closely with a game designer to develop the layout and design of a level set in a breathtaking snowy mountain environment. My contribution involved modeling large-scale environments that would capture the essence of the setting and provide an immersive experience for the players. In addition, I also provided assistance to the animation and cut scene teams in setting up and finalizing the environment for cinematic purposes. I modeled and refined the environment to ensure that it was visually stunning and perfectly aligned with the storyline and overall vision of the game.

First Light

I had the opportunity to work closely with the Lead Game Designer and Art Director to collaboratively create prototypes, pre-production, and grey-box the city levels. My contributions to the team included designing modular buildings, introducing a metrics system, and helping cut production time by using reusable decorations and building kits in strategic locations and districts without noticeable repetition. I was also responsible for managing and working alongside a team of two to develop two districts in the game while preserving the pacing and meticulously modeled the environment to the highest aesthetic standards. In addition, I took on the responsibility of final clean-up, imposters, physics, parkour, and optimization to ensure the game's performance. Overall, my experience in this project allowed me to showcase my skill.

inFAMOUS Second Sons

<h4>Festival of Blood is an expansion in the Infamous series based on the Infamous 2 map.</h4> I have been involved in the creation of a video game where I took charge of designing, modeling, and enhancing the level design to ensure that it is both efficient and consistent with the storyline. In addition to this, I have also created various elements such as breakable props, physics, parkour, imposters, and lighting adjustments as required to enhance the gameplay experience.

Festival of Blood

I worked closely with the mission designers to create immersive environments that were not only visually stunning but also provided an incredible experience to the users. One of my major contributions was designing and modeling reusable building sets that could be easily implemented across multiple projects, helping to increase the overall efficiency of the development process.

inFAMOUS 2

I played a crucial role in the city building team by providing valuable assistance in modeling structures, texturing, and offering expert guidance on the architectural aspect of the city. My support was particularly instrumental in ensuring that the city's buildings were designed and constructed in a structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing manner, meeting the team's high standards and expectations.
